One Mind One Goal

It all started when Chris and Justin got their own little keyboard that they went halves on at the pawn shop. With only 5 different types of beats and 5 instruments on it, but all they needed was a taste. They spent a whole summer mowing lawns and cleaning backyards for that keyboard.

Everyday after school and when they finished their homework they would go down to Justin’s basement and fool around with the keyboard and they both would make their own versus over the beat, and if they liked it they would record it to the keyboard.

So as time went by they got a bigger and better keyboard, stepped up and got a microphone and their versus were getting stronger and more meaningful. Since they had better equipment and recording material they put out their first mix tape “ Chris and Justin One Mind One Goal”. Which they handed out at school, church, and basically anywhere that they could get to.

Now little Chris and Justin were getting a name for themselves and started developing their own personas. Chris was the calm and smart one, but Justin on the other hand was the crazy wild one. Since, they been making tracks which each other it was clear that Chris was the best of the too, and was taking his music career seriously. While Justin was out partying all night and showing up late and also resorted to drugs.

The partying had taken a toll on the two’s relationship, Chris wanted to take his rapping career to the next level, while Justin was the exact opposite. He wanted to kickback and enjoy the fame they had already got and was happy with it. So Chris made the biggest decision of his life and called off the duo and signed onto Jive records.

Justin filled with rage and sorrow felt betrayed by Chris and put out a diss song smashing on his sick mother and dead father. He didn’t know what to do know because Chris was the one to make the beats and Justin realized he never really learned anything. That Chris was the one who would finalize all the songs and did all the dirty work for the album. So what did he do? He just continued to party,party,party and drink the pain away.

Chris on the other hand was doing his thing with Jive and was on a recording frenzy. Putting out number one albums after the other and taking the music scene by storm. Getting nominated for Grammy’s getting million dollar checks, Chris has fulfilled his dreams.

Where is Justin at? He’s the manager back in Scottsdale trying to get his musical career back on track, rapping still and trying to get back on the scene.

Now that Chris is established now and is known as one of the top rapper/producers in the game. He can finally kickback and enjoy his life with his family and friends, and misses his best friend Justin. So he decides to call him up one day.

At first Justin would purposely ignore his calls, but Chris wouldn’t stop calling him. So frustratingly Justin finally answered the phone

“ Yeah? What do you want?”

“ Justin, How you been man?”

“Fucking Terrible since you fucked me over”

“It wasn’t anything personal man, I was trying to get out of The scotts and you weren’t taking it serious.”

“ Its always work, work, work with you, I bet you don’t know how to have fun”

“ The party scene has never be me and you know that”

“Whatever….. why did you call?”

“ I want to get you on one track”

“ Fuck that”

“Cmon’ just one track I’ll pay if you want”

“How much?”

“ $50,000”

“ Send me a ticket and I’ll be there”

So Chris sent him a ticket from Scottsdale to California and the next day Justin showed up to his doorstep. It had been years since they seen each other, and at first it was awkward but once the stepped in to the studio everything changed. Justin was amazed at Chris’s home studio and couldn’t wait and hopped in the booth, and put on the headphones. So Chris lined up the beat and went in strong. Chris and Justin knew the song was fire, so Justin said “So what do you want to call it?”

Chris replied with, “One Mind One Goal”.
